Holiday Stuffing - No gravy needed!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Pepperidge Farm seasoned cubed stuffing (dry)
  • 1 bag Martins "Potatobred" soft cubed stuffing
  • 1 white onion
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 box Bells Seasoning (rosemary, oregano, sage, ginger, marjoram, thyme, pepper)
  • 16 oz. pork sausage (I use Wegmans roll)
  • 2 c. chicken stock
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 eggs beaten

Steps

  1. Saute onion + celery with 4 tbsp butter till translucent
  2. Brown pork in same pan
  3. Add Bells Seasoning
  4. In big pot/bowl mix onion, celery, sausage into the 2 bags of stuffing
  5. Cover in saran wrap, let sit overnight.
  6. About one hour before needing to put in oven, heat chicken broth and 1 stick butter on stove till butter melts.
  7. Pour over stuffing
  8. Add 2 eggs + salt + pepper
  9. Mix - the more you mix the more the cubes will break down.
  10. Put in oven safe dish with a cover.
  11. 400°F ~1 hr. Keep covered, uncover towards end if you want a crusty top.

Notes

  • Onion and celery are bracketed on the card: 'put in food processor'
